There are many ways you can support the Homeless Garden Project. Your donation truly makes a difference-more than one third of our funding comes from individuals like you. Share a little to give a lot.

Some volunteers want to learn about gardening, some want to work at special events; we have friends who volunteer occasionally while others every Thursday or only during the holiday season. Or apply to be a volunteer and we'll contact you when we have a project that will interest you.

Where the Money Goes

financial distribution chart

More than eighty-five percent of the Homeless Garden Project income is spent on the Job Training and Transitional Employment Program, Cultivating Community Program, and Connecting with Community Program.

Natural Bridges Farm, Value-Added Enterprise and our Downtown Store, comprise the Job Training and Transitional Employment Program.  This program is open to people in Santa Cruz County who are homeless or formerly homeless, who have experienced barriers to employment, and who wish to achieve a stable productive, place in society.
